The purchase concerns a compression testing system for strength testing of transport packages, unit loads and flat pallets. The device shall enable compression, deformation, stacking and creep tests in accordance with ISO 8611 and other EN, ASTM and ISTA standards. The scope includes delivery, installation, commissioning, software, accessories, training and documentation, with defined technical, accuracy, service and warranty requirements.

1. Purpose of request
The purpose of the purchase is the delivery, installation, and commissioning of a compression tester to assess:
• compressive strength,
• resistance to deformation,
• stacking capability
for:
• transport packages,
• unit loads,
• flat pallets for transport and storage.
The device shall enable testing in accordance with the requirements of standards, including ISO 8611 (flat pallets), EN, ASTM, ISTA.
2. Scope of supply
1. Compression tester with minimum parameters as specified in section 3.
2. Complete set of accessories for pallet testing according to ISO 8611, including at least:
-load applicators,
-supports,
-steel load bars of various lengths (approx. 300–1500 mm).
3. Controller / control system based on a PC with a touch screen, with installed software for:
- defining test methods,
- recording and archiving results,
- generating test reports.
4. Requirements regarding standards
The device must enable testing in accordance with at least the following standards:
• ISO 8611 – tests of new flat pallets.
• EN 15552 – complete, filled transport packages and unit loads.
• ASTM D4169, ASTM D642.
• ISTA: 1C–D; 2A–B; 3E–F, H, L; 4-Series; 6-FEDEX-A,B; 6-SAMSCLUB; 6-AMAZON.COM-SIOC.
• ISO 2872; ISO 12048; ISO 13820.

5. Additional / infrastructure requirements
The bidder shall clearly specify in the offer:
• requirements for electrical power supply (power, protection, connection),
• requirements for the floor (load capacity, flatness, possible need for a foundation / pit),
• whether the scope of supply includes:
o unloading (e.g. crane, forklift),
o moving and positioning,
o additional utilities (compressed air, others),
• requirements regarding environmental conditions (temperature, humidity).

• Control via PC with touch screen.
• Possibility to create and save own test procedures.
• Export of test data (e.g. CSV, PDF).
• Possibility to print reports.
