Projekt se opira na inovativno zračno ladjo, 60-tonsko letalo z nosilnostjo, zasnovano za delovanje brez vzletno-pristajalnih stez, pristanišč ali težke zemeljske infrastrukture. European armed forces face a critical capability gap in strategic transport and oversized cargo mobility, especially for deployment to remote, damaged or infrastructure-poor environments. Our project aims to address this gap by enabling heavy military equipment and oversized payloads to be transported directly to the point of need.
The project will develop modular multi-purpose transport platforms for military equipment up to 60 tonnes, adaptive cargo securing and lashing systems, and will demonstrate loading and unloading operations in representative conditions. The target is to increase technology maturity from TRL 4 to TRL 6.
Current consortium: French scale-up as coordinator and aircraft integrator; a Luxembourg company for a first version of multi-purpose transport platform development; a Spanish company for adaptive securing and lashing sub-systems development.
Advantages and innovations:
Our project combines runway-independent heavy-lift air transport with modular transport platforms and adaptive cargo securing systems. Its main innovation is the ability to move oversized and heavy payloads directly to constrained environments where conventional strategic transport assets depend on airports, ports, roads or significant infrastructure.
The proposed solution is dual-use, modular and scalable, supporting both defence and civil crisis-response logistics. It also contributes to European strategic autonomy by strengthening sovereign oversized-cargo mobility capabilities.
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought:
The partner should be able to design, develop and manufacture a multi-purpose transport platform for heavy and oversized payloads between 20t and 60t. (platform to be seen under the airship on the attached pictures)
Desired expertise includes:
- Lightweight, high-strength mechanical structures design & sizing capabilities, as well as Material & Processes, ideally in aerospace applications;
- Modular composite and/or metallic structures able to carry heavy loads while minimizing structural weight;
- Knowledge of aeronautical quality standards for airborne products development & manufacturing.
- Industrialization and prototype manufacturing capabilities;
- Robust, modular and adaptable mechanical interfaces for lifting and securing heavy and oversized payloads.
Expected role of a partner:
Additional European industrial partner is to lead the development of a second multi-purpose transport platform for the consortium.
