Greek automotive component company seeks engine dynamometer and emissions testing laboratory for exhaust-diffuser system validation

Publish date: Tuesday, June 23, 2026

A Greek company that has developed an innovative automotive exhaust system is seeking an accredited testing laboratory or R&D facility capable of performing engine dynamometer testing and exhaust emissions analysis in motion. The goal is to independently validate performance gains and emissions compliance of the new component under controlled, standardised conditions. BRGR20260616019
Greek automotive component company seeks engine dynamometer and emissions testing laboratory for exhaust-diffuser system validation
The Greek company has developed a proprietary exhaust-diffuser system designed for internal combustion engines that utilizes exhaust gases to increase engine power and delivers measurable improvements in engine output and contributes to prolonged engine lifespan. The innovation addresses longstanding trade-offs in exhaust system design, offering simultaneous gains in performance efficiency, fuel economy and durability. To advance the technology toward commercial readiness, the company requires rigorous, independent technical validation. Specifically, the company is looking for a partner that can conduct engine dynamometer (dyno) testing to quantify power output, torque curves, and backpressure differentials between the new exhaust system and standard configurations. The tests should be carried out under controlled and repeatable conditions, producing data suitable for use in technical documentation, IP filings, and commercial presentations to OEM or Tier-1 partners. In parallel, the company requires exhaust emissions testing against applicable EU regulatory standards, including Euro 7 or equivalent frameworks, covering key pollutants such as CO, NOx, hydrocarbons, and particulate matter. Accreditation or recognised certification of the testing facility is essential, as the results will need to withstand scrutiny from potential manufacturing or licensing partners. The preferred partner is an independent testing laboratory, university or research centre with powertrain testing infrastructure, or a specialised automotive R&D institution. Technical Specification or Expertise Sought: The partner should have access to and operational experience with engine dynamometer infrastructure capable of testing exhaust components across a range of engine types and load conditions. Expertise in exhaust backpressure measurement, torque and power output benchmarking, and thermal cycle simulation is required. For emissions testing, the facility should be accredited to conduct measurements compliant with Euro 7 or equivalent international standards, with the ability to measure CO, NOx, hydrocarbon, and particulate emissions. Familiarity with regulatory submission requirements and the ability to issue certified test reports is considered essential. Experience working with automotive SMEs or start-ups on component-level validation, rather than full vehicle testing only, is an advantage. Expected role of a partner: The partner is expected to undertake the testing and provide the results data.
