Spanish bag manufacturer seeks organic textiles, leather and circular fibres under a supplier agreement

Publish date: Friday, September 11, 2026

Spanish artisanal bag SME seeks international suppliers of organic and circular-economy textiles, leather, and fibres under a supplier agreement. Materials must have natural fibre flexibility, a thickness of 0,5-0,8 mm and withstand heat up to 350oC for steel/rubber moulding processes. Organic materials must hold GOTS and synthetic materials must have GRS or equivalent circular certification. Logistics and sampling procedures will be agreed upon. BRES20260909003
Spanish bag manufacturer seeks organic textiles, leather and circular fibres under a supplier agreement
This is an over-century-old Spanish company founded in 1880, with more than four generations of experience applying traditional artisanal know-how and taste to the design and manufacturing of fashionable luxury bags and handbags. Originally dedicated to decorative items based on braided palm, leather, and metals, the SME has focused since 1980 on manufacturing high-end smart and casual bags. All products are practically hand-made at its facilities in the Southeast of Spain, assuring a 100% sustainable, proof-tracked manufacturing process that combines tradition, sustainability, and innovation. To expand its sustainable collection, the Spanish SME requires suppliers of new materials based on textiles, leather, and fibres primarily of organic origin. Synthetic fibres are admissible only if they have a certified circular-economy origin (recycled content). The requested materials must possess the following specifications: • Thickness: Strictly between 0.5 mm and 0.8 mm to fit well into moulds and avoid wrinkles, folds, or creases. • Flexibility: High flexibility equivalent to natural fibres. • Heat Resistance: Must endure temperatures up to 350°C to withstand heat-moulding with steel and rubber moulds The company seeks a Supplier Agreement to secure a stable, long-term supply chain of high-quality, certified eco-materials. This partnership will allow the SME to maintain its strict 100% sustainable output while innovating its design lines. Under the supplier agreement, the selected partner will initially supply material samples (swatches) to the SME's Spanish workshop for physical flex and heat-mould testing. Upon successful validation, a contract for regular, scheduled shipments of sheets or rolls will be established, aligning shipping logistics and ecolabel verifications. Technical Specification or Expertise Sought: Potential materials must meet the following precise physical and environmental criteria: 1. Dimensional Metrics: Thickness must range strictly between 0.5 mm and 0.8 mm. 2. Thermal Durability: Material must undergo high-pressure heat moulding (up to 350°C maximum) without degradation, discolouration, or structural failure. 3. Flexibility: High tactile elasticity to perfectly adjust to double-curve steel/rubber moulds without creasing. 4. Ecolabel Certifications (Mandatory): o Materials of organic origin (textiles, leather, plant fibres) must have GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OEKO-TEX, or equivalent certification. o Synthetic and recycled materials must hold GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification, verifying a 100% traceable circular-economy loop. Expected role of a partner: Manufacturers or suppliers of materials based on textiles, leather, and fibers that have the flexibility of natural fibers, primarily of organic origin. Manufacturers or suppliers of synthetic fibers of circular-economy origin. The expected role of the partner under the Supplier Agreement includes: • Supplying initial material samples (A4 swatches or small rolls) for technical testing in Spain. • Providing complete technical data sheets and verifiable organic/recycled origin certificates (GOTS, GRS). • Guaranteeing flexible minimum order quantities (MOQ) for initial manufacturing runs, with the capability to scale to larger, regular batches as demand grows. • Maintaining clear communication (preferably in English or Spanish) to coordinate customisation of material finishes.
