Every human follows a unique circadian rhythm that regulates key physiological processes such as sleep, metabolism, hormone secretion, immune response and drug metabolism. This biological timing varies significantly between individuals and plays a critical role in determining the effectiveness and tolerability of medical treatments, as well as overall health and wellbeing. Despite its importance, circadian biology is not routinely measured or integrated into healthcare or consumer health solutions. As a result, treatments, daily routines and health interventions are often applied at suboptimal times, leading to reduced efficacy, increased side effects and missed opportunities for prevention. Technology and Solution: An innovative company from northern Germany has developed a simple, non-invasive diagnostic that enables accurate measurement of an individual’s biological clock at the molecular level. The technology determines internal biological timing, by analysing RNA biomarkers associated with circadian gene expression and applies proprietary AI and mathematical models.
